General Manager

George is a fourth-generation agriculturist on the Central Coast, dating back to his great grandfather’s emigration from Switzerland in 1870 to Cayucos, California. He received his degree in Agricultural Business Management from California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo. George grew up on the family farm in Santa Maria and began his career in grape production growing table grapes in Madera. He eventually moved back to the Central Coast as a Vineyard Manager. He is currently the General Manager of Pacific Vineyard Company, specializing in managing vineyard properties in the Edna Valley south of San Luis Obispo. George is also a licensed California Farm Labor Contractor, as well as a member of the California Farm Bureau and various other grower organizations. George and his wife Kristi live in the Edna Valley.
